What started as a simple walkway replacement turned into the discovery that the old base had been sinking for years, something this paver uncovered as soon as they lifted the first section. They rebuilt it using a compacted gravel base and finished with polymeric sand set by a plate compactor to lock everything in place. The entire project was completed in four days, and the difference in stability was obvious the first time we rolled the trash bins across it. Water now drains away from the house instead of pooling near the foundation.
